White Conservatives Emerge from their Information Bubble with Sour Grapes...or Just Plain Crazy? »

Sean Hannity: to address your breathtaking arrogance, the bottom line is that people like you, living in your bubble simply cannot fathom how this president’s team could have outplanned, outfoxed, out knocked on doors, out talked to people on the ground. These people, who arent supposed to be that smart, who cant possibly understand a complex campaign, who are unworthy to be leading…and they outplayed all of these corporate giants who, of course, were smarter, more this, more that. Worthy to run things. Nate Silver, through modeling straight out my fellow Princetonian Mike Lewis’s Moneyball, had been tracking this since June, but aw no. He was wrong, as all of them are supposed to be. But they weren’t wrong.  You were.

You aren’t being a sore loser now. You are being just plain crazy…

All Racial Politics is Local... »

I went to polling station to help our neighbor Anthony Cimino in this race—one of Lenwood Johnson’s pals told me that our candidate will lose because he is white, and black folks are scared of what he represents. He also didn’t think I was a “real” African American because I was lightskinned, spoke a certain way, taught at Georgetown. I set him straight—I even told him I am a native, born, bred, and grew up with Michael Brown, at large councilmember. He pointed out that Brown, son of Democrat icon Ron Brown, would win as another stick in the eye of white people, based on votes across the Anacostia River.

For some voters in DC, dysfunctional antics are peferctly normal. The man’s retort to me over Lenwood’s antics, described in the link above, was “nobody’s perfect.” It is tragic we set our expectations so low.

One more thing: If the wingnut “press” like Breitbart.com, Drudge, the Weekly Standard, et al was serious about real news…they’d point this stuff out, rather than inventing the New Black Panther Party and assorted other nonsense in the face of overwhelming evidence of strategic vote suppression, uni-polar voting by whites vs. Obama. But then again, I used the words “serious” and “real.” Strange bedfellows. Misguided folks in DC. Rightwingers on blogs. All the same.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R) endorses Barack Obama. Far cry from the New York of my lifetime, in 1858, run by Democrat gangs, hating the Negro and Republicans. The virulent press cannot say this is consangual brotherhood as with Colin Powell, unless the President—so often accused of being a Mohammedean—suddenly now is an Israelite and swims in greenbacks! Ha! No, it is common sense and analysis, for this is not a stupid man, this mayor. And if the Confederate governors and their confederates on Fox News, Drudge, Pajamas Media, Erick Erickson, James Taranto, the blonde ladies who remind me of mistresses who ran bondsmen and bondswomen till their feet bled do not hold their tongues, the corpulent governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, should follow suit. A traitor, he, for caring more about his people, THE PEOPLE, than Mitt Romney.
How dare he…

Michelle Malkin? I am not familiar with the young lass who resembles Princess Caribou of Java, but I am well versed in the invectives of Miss Ann Coulter, who would have made a right decent slave catcher and patroller in petticoat and booted heel when I was alive. My agent on earth, Professor Christopher Chambers, says “Michelle Malkin calls Ann Coulter ‘shallow’ and stupid for calling the POTUS a ‘retard’ after the final debate? Thats like Dracula telling the Wolfman “You really need a Milkbone to clean those fangs…and a flea collar.’ A monster is a monster.”
The President as soft-skulled or dim? All have been labeled such—as were we for following Reverend Brown. Alas, it is the only retort they have left. In turn, it bespeaks their own loss of sense. It would be funny, but for the fact that this same distemper struck down me and mine, and almost destroyed this Union. It sturck again to destroy our gains (obtained by our own fighting men’s hands), after Reconstruction. That is not funny.
